Working principle
Rock drills work according to the principle of impact crushing. During operation, the piston undergoes high-frequency reciprocating motion, continuously impacting the drill tail. Under the action of impact force, the wedge-shaped drill bit crushes the rock and chisels it into a certain depth, forming a dent. After the piston retracts, the drill bit rotates a certain angle, and the piston moves forward. When it impacts the drill tail again, a new indentation is formed. The fan-shaped rock block between the two indentations is sheared by the horizontal force generated on the drill bit. The piston continuously impacts the tail of the drill and continuously inputs compressed air or pressurized water from the center hole of the drill, discharging the rock debris outside the hole, thus forming a circular borehole of a certain depth.
Operating procedures
1. Before rock drilling, check the integrity and rotation of all components (including rock drills, supports, or rock drilling rigs), add necessary lubricating oil, check whether the air and water paths are unobstructed, and whether all connecting joints are firm.
2. Knock and ask for help near the working face, that is, check whether there are any active stones or loose stones on the top plate and second side near the working face, and make necessary treatments.
3. The position of the flat blasting hole on the working surface must be leveled before rock drilling to prevent slipping or displacement of the blasting hole.
4. Dry eye drilling is strictly prohibited. Wet rock drilling should be adhered to. During operation, water should be boiled first and then air should be turned on. When stopping drilling, air should be turned off first and then water should be turned off. When opening your eyes, run at low speed first, and then drill at full speed after reaching a certain depth.
5. During drilling, personnel holding the drill rod are not allowed to wear gloves.
6. When using an air leg drill, pay attention to standing posture and position, never rely on body pressure, and never stand under the drill rod in front of the rock drill to prevent injury caused by broken drill rods.
7. When abnormal sounds and abnormal discharge of powder and water are found during rock drilling, the machine should be stopped for inspection, the cause should be identified and eliminated before drilling can continue.
8. When exiting the rock drill or replacing the drill rod, the rock drill can run slowly. Pay attention to the position of the steel drill rod to avoid automatic detachment and injury, and promptly close the air circuit.
9. When using an air leg rock drill for rock drilling, the tip should be firmly pressed to prevent slipping and injury.
10. When using an upward rock drill to retract the support, it is necessary to hold onto the drill rod to prevent it from automatically falling and injuring people.
