The pneumatic rock drill is a kind of percussive drilling machine powered by compressed air. It is mainly composed of air cylinder, piston assembly, air distributing device, steel drill rotary mechanism, control valve and flushing blowing mechanism.
2. How does a pneumatic rock drill work?
When the pneumatic rock drill works, the air pressure changes alternately into the rear and front chamber of the cylinder to push the piston back and forth. Similarly, the air pressure also acts on the back or front cover of the cylinder to make the rock drill backward or forward. Therefore, the rock drill vibrates and then generates chiseling force.
3. How do you use pneumatic drills?
When operated by hand, it is called hand-held rock drill. It is held by hand, powered by compressed air to drill by the axial thrust with the machine gravity or manpower.
